I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE and nearly 30 years of experience of teaching French and Spanish.

I love helping people speak languages with confidence.

This morning I finished my first ever Spanish novel, which is something I’d never thought I’d be able to do. Rachel really encouraged me and her block of 12 Spanish lessons made a huge impact. I had a good/intermediate understanding of Spanish, but when I started reading the novel at the start of our lessons I felt a bit out of my depth. However as Rachel guided me through the various tenses and grammatical rules, I found that I was able to read the book with less and less use of a dictionary/translator. Towards the end of the book, I was barely using these tools – a true testament to the quality of the lessons provided.

On top of the improvement to reading, our chats progressed from basic sentences to (near!) flowing conversations.

I cannot recommend Rachel enough and have since joined her club – Viva español, a page for those who have intermediate Spanish skills and want to continue to progress. Her platform offers members the opportunity for group conversations with people with a similar level of Spanish, a Spanish novel discussion group and daily questions to encourage daily use of Spanish.
