Here’s another gem about the benefit of learning another language that I love.

Learning and speaking a foreign language improves the functionality of your brain

This is because when you speak a foreign language you challenge your brain to recognise, negotiate meaning and communicate in different language systems. This skill boosts your ability to negotiate meaning in other problem-solving tasks as well.

It has been found that students who study foreign languages score better on standardised tests than their monolingual peers, particularly in maths, reading and vocabulary.

So, if you want to sharpen your brain up for a busy day of problem –solving, give it a quick work –out in French or Spanish for example. How amazing is that??
